This is an Entry Level position for an Engineer or Scientist interested in utilizing their technical and communication skills in the development of the company's business through the interaction with Customers and the Management Team.
This tremendous opportunity initially entails joining the existing Team, learning the unique photonic design & manufacturing business, and exercising existing interpersonal skills through the identification of new opportunities and support of existing Customers.
Communication with Customers will entail interaction via phone, email, on-site sales calls, and prospecting at trade shows. The technical requirements defined by the Customers shall be organized and presented to the Avo Management Team for support in preparation of cost models and quotes.
The Sales Engineer will draft customer proposals & contact reports; maintain and manage customer contact database, customer contracts, weekly sales reports, and sales forecast
Requirements
• Individual with technical background, enthusiasm, energy for business, and ability to sell
• Bachelor Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Optics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work directly with Engineers and write technical proposals
• Strong pro-active and initiative-oriented personality
• Confident on the telephone and with customers. Self-starter.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Salesperson to manage existing accounts and develop new ones while actively extending offerings into the military, medical, industrial, and communication markets.
Physical Requirements
This position require periodic travel and may occasionally require some physical activities and heavy lifting.
