• Processes: Avo Photonics supports a broad range of processes - all under one roof. As optical assembly specialists, Avo is well versed in utilization of existing solutions or development of custom assembly processes. As with all of Avo's Services, the level of development is in concert with the needs of our Customer today. Simplified or soft tooling is created for rapid prototyping during the early stage of the Product realization. As volume needs increase, Avo transitions the existing, developed processes to the appropriate level of automation.
Whether the quantity is 1 or 1 million, Avo assures the quality of its assembly processes through documented work instructions, detailed parameter tracking, and sample destructive analysis.
By taking the "art" of assembly processes and turning them into known engineering solutions, the critical parameters are identified and toleranced. This results in higher yields and thereby lower costs.
In addition to developing its own Processes, Avo Photonics has absorbed and transferred existing Processes from Customers desiring to transition their manufacturing out-of-house; allowing them to stay focused on Product Sales and next generation Products.
• Prototyping: Avo offers design & prototyping under one roof. This allows us to efficiently determine where the appropriate trade-offs are to be made to create a design that meets our customer’s specifications for price, performance, size and quality. Our rapid prototype process focuses on accessible off-the-shelf components, known good manufacturing processes, and in-house design expertise to provide a working part in the shortest possible time. Designs are produced using Avo’s complete line of advanced assembly equipment.
