Avo Photonics provides contract manufacturing of our Customer's products. Through the use of automated equipment as well as custom tooling, Avo provides the appropriate level of precision optical Production capability to meet our Customer's cost and volume needs. Critical photonic Production takes place in Class 100/1000 cleanrooms located within an overall Class 10,000 manufacturing facility.
Avo is well versed in the Production of simple telecom-type fiber-coupled assemblies as well as more complex electro-optic systems such as tunable lasers, high-power (20KW peak) fiber-coupled isolators, photometers, lidar systems, diode-pumped solid state lasers, IR imagers, vacuum packaging, and SHG projection sources.
Avo Photonics has been in daily production of hundreds of laser assemblies for a number of years. At the same time, Avo maintains its ability to produce complex military systems and support rapid prototyping for new product introduction.
As part of our offerings, Avo sources, procures, inspects, and inventories most of the materials for the assemblies created. This critical component of product realization requires the diligence and thoroughness Avo carefully provides.
Avo Photonics' quality system assures the performance, reliability, and traceability required by all Customers. Avo is on-track to receive ISO certification in November 2008.
Electro-Optic Testing
Avo utilizes an extensive suite of in-house test capability to support its customers products from probing at chip level to completed electro-optic system verification.
Environmental Stress Testing
Avo Photonics has an installed base of equipment to support reliability stress testing to mil-standard and Telcordia specifications or to the customers own industry-specific requirements. Tests supported include: Burn-in, Lifetesting, Temperature & Humidity Cycling, High/Low Temperature Storage and Vibration.
