We seek an experienced professional to plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of Avo’s organizational goals and talent strategy.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management to understand the goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.

  • Develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.

  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training initiatives, and communications to support Avo’s human resource needs.

  • Administer and oversee activities including, but not limited to, talent management, performance evaluations, productivity, recognition, development, morale, disciplinary matters, and disputes.

  • Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities.

  • Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • At least ten years’ experience in HR duties including recruiting, retention, development, and discipline. Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute an HR specific plan based on company’s overall strategic plan.

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate.
