Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops, and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. We seek a diligent and dedicated Systems Administrator who can maintain and document a secure server environment. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.

Specifically:

• Manage File Server data and its underlying storage

• Manage Veeam backup software & disaster recovery procedures

• Maintain a Microsoft Windows Server Environment

• Manage Active Directory & Group Policy

• Maintain Dell Server hardware

• Create & maintain documentation and procedures of related systems

• Manage a Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization environment

• Assist the Desktop Support team when required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred

• 5 years of Systems Administration experience

• Strong understanding of DHCP & DNS

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server & Hyper-V

• Able to work nights and/or weekends when required

• Ability to work onsite full time & the ability to lift 50 pounds

• Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills.
