Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops, and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff can design, prototype, and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.
We seek a diligent, dedicated, and meticulous Manufacturing Planner who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class customer service. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.
Responsibilities:
Manage MRP settings for manufacturable items.
Maintain BoMs and Routes in ERP systems.
Release travelers daily to meet commitments.
Project weekly shipments based on work in process.
Check travelers for completion and close for shipment.
Identify and work with inventory personnel to correct systemic material shortages.
Track and report job costs. Investigate any outliers.
Track and report aged job status.
Monitor subassembly stock levels.
Other duties as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
2+ years working with MRP/ERP systems.
2+ years of manufacturing planning experience preferred.
Proficiency in Excel or G sheets.
Familiarity with cleanroom environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing is a plus.
